Psychological Testing

At Pinnacle Behavioral Health Institute, we offer both Psychological Testing as well as Computerized ADD/ADHD Testing. The computerized testing takes about 45 minutes and generates a report which will then be discussed at your next appointment with the provider. If you or a family member has been referred for psychological testing, and do not know where to start, or even what it is, we can help you. In many ways, psychological testing and assessment are similar to medical tests. If a patient has physical symptoms, a primary care provider may order radiology tests or blood tests to understand what's causing those symptoms. The results of the tests will help to develop a treatment plan. Psychological evaluations serves the same purpose. Psychologists use tests and other assessment tools to measure and observe a client's behavior to arrive at a diagnosis and guide treatment. The underlying cause of symptoms isn't always clear. Psychological tests and assessments allow the treating team to understand the nature of the problems, and to figure out the best way to go about treating it.
